Levi C. Johnson

Administration/Business Manager

Levi Johnson is a resident of DeRidder, Louisiana and a 2011 graduate of Elizabeth High School. After graduating high school in 2011, Levi began college to obtain a degree in culinary arts in which he was very passionate about. However, after much prayer and reflection he felt that God had other plans for him. Through the church he attended at the time, Levi found interest in the funeral business. He found his willingness to serve the people around him to be of great significance in his life and found that the Death Care Industry would allow him to serve people at their most difficult times in life. In the early part of 2012, Levi began his journey into the Death Care Industry by working with a local funeral home in the town where he resided. He found great fulfillment in helping others in need as well as being of any assistance that he could. However, in January of 2013, Levi would be faced with immense tragedy with the sudden accidental loss of his 18 month old son Bryson. Although horrible and tragic, this situation would allow Levi to understand even more about hurting families and help sculpt him into being a better servant to people who were hurting from the loss of loved ones. By complete happenstance, Levi would meet Mr. Lawrence Moncla in February of 2013 at a business meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana where they shook hands and would agree to visit soon. Mr. Moncla, the owner and CEO of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home saw something in Levi that caught his attention. Mr. Moncla and Levi would meet up and have dinner in March of 2013. After their meeting and being impressed with Levi's respect and character, Mr. Moncla gave Levi an open invitation to help around the funeral home after he himself suddenly lost a very cherished and valued employee to an unexpected health condition. Levi immediately accepted the invitation and was excited to help the Moncla family any way that he could, serving in the funeral homes and serving the surrounding communities. Throughout Levi's work under his direction, Mr. Moncla would watch and be exceptionally impressed with Levi and the way he treated people. Mr. Moncla allowed Levi to become a pre-arrangement advisor where Levi would display even more impressiveness with his concern for people in need and getting others to understand how important funeral pre-arrangement is. Mr. Moncla would then allow Levi to begin helping families with their granite monument purchases, allowing him to show families all of their options and helping them make the best choices when it came to their loved ones monument. After watching Levi over the course of a couple of years, Mr. Moncla decided that Levi displayed all of the exemplary skills that were needed to help families in need. After much thought and positive service from Levi, in 2015, Mr. Moncla elected Levi as Business Manager of the funeral homes where he would serve families in dealing with financial transactions, oversee all granite monument purchases, all funeral pre-arrangements, as well as taking care of all veteran service requests and staff management, all while still making sure that all families were pleased and comfortable while in the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home. Levi always made sure that every family was treated personally with, compassion, dignity, and respect, earning every family's trust and building lasting relationships. Levi has served in Administration as Business Manger of the funeral home from 2015 until current day where he continues to help in all aspects of the company's daily operation. Levi currently lives in DeRidder with his family. In his free time he enjoys cooking, traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his two sons Landry and Sawyer. Throughout his career, Levi has had the humbling experience of serving his very own family and helping them through the loss of four grandparents, as well as other extended family members and friends. Levi says, "I know first hand how it feels to lose someone you love and hold so dear, my personal losses have helped me see and understand the intensity of emotions associated with losing a loved one. I have learned a tremendous amount in my time of loss and know exactly how people feel they should be treated in time of need. Therefore, I take my job very seriously and I will always do my best to treat every family with love and respect." He is proud to serve this community and plans to serve Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes and the families they serve for many years to come.
