Obituary

Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Lyndon Gerard "Boo" Perkins, 57, will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Thursday morning, May 2, 2024, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Elton. Rev. Fr. Anil Alexander and Deacon Mike Guillory will officiate. "Boo" will be laid to rest at Chretien Cemetery in Elton immediately following his services.

"Boo's" family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Wednesday evening, May 1, 2024, from 3-9 o'clock p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6 o'clock p.m. "Boo's" visitation will resume at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Thursday morning, May 2, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of "Boo's" arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.

"Boo" was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, and friend. "Boo" lived a full and vibrant life. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he served his country with dignity and honor. He also met his wife of 36 years while in the Navy, June Marie Pisik Perkins. In the Navy he attained skills that would assist him in building a career. Upon his return home, he began his career as a machinist at LeJeune's Machine Shop in Eunice. He eventually would go to work for Citgo Petroleum where he worked for 30 plus years and worked very hard to provide for his family. In his free time "Boo" enjoyed watching Western and Sci-Fi movies, listening to good music, and most importantly spending time with his family whom he adored and cherished dearly including his three dogs, Roux, Beaux, Bleaux and numerous friends. "Boo" will be remembered for his kind heart and his unwavering loyalty. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he met. "Boo's" love for his family and friends knew no boundaries. He will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish "Boo's" memory include his wife, June Pisik Perkins of Elton, LA; one son, Lyndon "T-Boo" Gerard Perkins ll and companion Jeanne-Claire Flemming of Elton, LA, two daughters, Tanika Marie Perkins, and fiancé Jordan "Slim" Fontenot of Basile, LA, and Sadie Ann Richard and husband Josh of Elton, LA; two brothers, Wilson Perkins of Fortson, GA, and Amos Perkins Jr. and wife Donna of San Marcus, TX, two sisters, Shanna Perkins, and Kristy Perkins both of Elton, LA; and one "brousin", Dee Rubin and companion Angela of Humble, TX; four grandchildren, Rhian Wilson, Amos Richard, Everett Fontenot, and Paisley Wilson, and a host of numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

"Boo" is preceded in death by his parents Amos and Theresa Perkins; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edith, and Charles Pisik; three uncles, Albert Perkins, Hollis Chretien ("Boo's" Godfather), and John Leonard; and one sister-in-law, Linda Perkins.
