Kinder-Funeral Service for Juanita Marie Tupper, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.  Rev. Brian Courville will officiate.  Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 5-9 p.m. and will resume visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Juanita was a devoted wife to her husband, Emery, for 53 years until his passing in 2016.  She was also a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.  She was a 1962 honor graduate of Kinder High School.  In addition to being a homemaker, Juanita also worked in various secretarial positions over the years.  She loved cooking for all of her family and no one could cook a roast quite like her.  In fact, her grandchildren stated that no one could do just about anything like Maw Maw did!  Juanita loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren; bathing and rocking the babies was something she loved to do.  She also enjoyed reading, completing crossword puzzles, eating Mexican food on special occasions and watching her "soaps."  Juanita was a very giving person, always thinking of others before herself.  She has left her family with everlasting memories and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Christina Marie Smith and husband, Richard, and Tammy Rachelle Tupper, all of Kinder; one brother, J.B. Fontenot and wife, Clara of Kinder; two sisters, Gloria Corkran of St. Amant and Loretta Jean Armand and husband, Patrick of St. Rose; five grandchildren, Adrienne Hazelton and husband, John Alan, Kimberly Haigler and husband, Joey, Johnathan Nevils and wife, Brianna, Karley Nevils, and Lauren Kai Coram and husband, Benjamin; and ten great grandchildren, Mason, Lawson, Branson, Slade, Richard, Garrett, Cheyenne, Everett, Aubrey and Charlie.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Audrey Fontenot; her husband, Emery Tupper; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Smith.
