Kinder-Celebration of Life services honoring Zoey Elizabeth Downing, 18, will be held on Friday evening, March 28, 2025, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.  Zoey's family will host a private inurnment service at a future date.

Zoey's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 1 o'clock p.m. until time of service. All of Zoey's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Zoey Elizabeth Downing was a lifelong resident of Kinder, LA. She graduated from Kinder High School in 2024, where she was a part of the Color Guard. She was working diligently to obtain her cosmetology and barbershop license in the beginning stages of cosmetology school in Lake Charles, La. Her dream was to one day open her own beauty shop.

Zoey enjoyed music, doing hair, nails, and makeup. She had numerous friends that loved her company. She enjoyed catching crawfish, road trips, traveling, and loved visiting the beach. Zoey took joy in her newfound role of motherhood to a beautiful baby girl, Nova Culbertson, who she loved dearly.

Zoey will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Zoey's memory include her parents, Sherri Castille and Christopher Cormier; husband, Anthony Culbertson; one daughter, Nova Culbertson; one brother, Zachery Downing, one sister, Gabby Downing; maternal grandmother, Monica Castille; two aunts, Nicole Castille Salinas (Erika Salinas) and Kay Castille Dartez, numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Zoey is preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Anthony Castille and Darrin Fuselier; maternal great grandmothers, Anna Mae Burnett and Betty Castille; maternal great grandfather, Hebert Castille.
