Kinder-Funeral service for Zoe` Agnes Gaspard Rider, 81, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Oberlin cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder from 3-9 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, with the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Zoe` was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Dempsey, for forty-five years until his passing in 2000. She was a kind, loving, and caring person. Zoe` was a devoted Catholic, very faithful to the Catholic Church, and was very proud of her Catholic heritage. She enjoyed embroidering and sewing. Zoe` especially loved cooking and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her whole world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Zoe's memory include her two sons, Michael John Rider and wife, Bobbie, of Abbeville, LA, Joshua Ross Rider and wife, Kayla, of Reeves, La; one daughter, Holly Rider Brouillette of Lake Charles, La; nine grandchildren, Dillan Rider, Payton Rider, Hailey Rider, Ethan Brouillette, Nathaniel Ybarra, Stella Rose Broussard, Jeanne Rider, Isabella Rider, and Parker Rider.
Zoe` is preceded in death by her parents, P.J. and Aristine Gaspard; spouse, Dempsey Rider; one daughter, Agnes Rider; one brother, Lyonel Manuel; and one sister, Gladys Manuel.
