A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 honoring the life of Yvonne Nicole LeJeune, 39, from 4-6 p.m. in the Chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.  Yvonne passed away on October 28, 2021 at Rapides Regional Hospital of Alexandria.

Yvonne was a sweet and loving daughter, sister, friend and aunt.  She lived in Elton and graduated from Elton High School in 2001 before moving to Alexandria.  She loved spending time with her dad and family for the holidays.  She always wanted gumbo when she came down for those few days or week.  Her dad would always ask her what she was hungry for even though he already knew the answer.  But, he still liked to hear her say she wanted gumbo.  He affectionately called her "Frog" as a nickname.  Her entire family loved her dearly and all loved to take that ride to Lake Charles to pick her up with their dad.  Yvonne loved spending time with her niece and nephew, Lillian and Tyler.  She spoke to them a lot and loved them so much.  Yvonne also loved her brother Robert even though they would "bicker" a lot; it was funny to listen to and watch them.  She and her sister, Nickie, had a very special bond and loved hanging out, listening to music and talking about boys.  Yvonne was one of a kind and knew no stranger.  She will definitely be missed and forever remembered by many people; she left a big mark that will live on for years to come.  All who knew her and loved her were blessed to have had her as a part of their lives.  According to her sister, she was a beautiful sister with a heart of gold.  She always had a beautiful smile on her face no matter what she was going through.  The family knows that she is finally with their dad in heaven and imagines how beautiful it must be there.  If they had to choose any sister in the world, they would still choose Yvonne.  They find peace in knowing that this is not the end and that they will meet again.  They expect that Yvonne will be saving a place for them right next to herself and their Dad.

Those left to cherish Yvonne's memory include her brother, Alvin Robert LeJeune of Baton Rouge; one sister, Nickie LeJeune and fiancé, Jason McGee of Kinder; two half-sisters, Rebecca LeJeune of Eunice and Angel Breaux of Jennings; nieces and nephews-Lillian, Tyler, Allie, Tommie, Brooklyn, Charlie, Graylon, Marquel, Tielyne, Callie and Serenity.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her father, Alvin LeJeune; her mother, Angela White; her grandmother, Lorriana Teal; and her uncle, Jerry Vincent.

Yvonne's family would like to extend a very special thank you to everyone who donated to Yvonne's final expenses.  May God bless each of you from the bottom of their hearts.
