Kinder-Funeral service for William F. Rester, age 82, of Kinder, will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10 am at Green Oak Bible Church. Rev. Jerry Long will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held at Green Oak Bible Church beginning on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 10am-9pm and will continue on Thursday morning from 8am until time of service.
William was a retired electrician. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His church was very special to him and he always loved being with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Ruby Rester; one son, Leonard Rester of Elton; two daughters, Linda Rester Courville of Kinder and Sharon Bilyeu Rester of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Eula and Frederick Rester; one son, Mitchell Rester; one brother, Richard Rester; three sisters, Molly White, Effie Dupin, and Mary Lou Holley; and, one granddaughter, Tonya Courville.
