William McDaniel, 69, was born on December 21,1955 and passed away on May 23, 2025. His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Hopewell Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Odom will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Hopewell Baptist Church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

William was a lifelong resident of the Plainview community.  He was a hard worker and always provided for his family.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and raising deer.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish William's memory include his wife, Janet McDaniel; four brothers, Gilbert McDaniel and wife, Sharon, Dan McDaniel and wife, Sylvia, Lloyd McDaniel and wife, Debbie, and Andrew McDaniel and wife, Jenette; three sisters, Lucille Leiting and husband, Dave, Rosie Kingan and husband, Danny, and Coleen Johnson and husband, Steven; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Chester McDaniel and Sarah Jane Willis McDaniel; and one sister, Mildren Langley.
