Elton-Celebration of Life services for William "Billy" Manuel Jr., 67, will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 11 o'clock a.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Fr. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Billy will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Elton immediately following his services.

Billy's family will accept friends and visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Wednesday November 29, 2023, from 4-9 o'clock p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6 o'clock p.m. Billy's visitation will resume at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Thursday morning, November 30, 2023, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Billy's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.

Billy was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother uncle and friend. Billy was a hard worker and always worked hard to provide for his family. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and cherished every moment he spent with them. He loved to work on the farm and enjoyed trading different goods and services rather than selling his goods or services. He was an outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. Billy was a kind and caring person and will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Billy's memory include his mother, Effie Manuel of Elton, LA; two daughters, Joshlin Spears and husband Kenneth of Kinder, LA, and Amber Vander of Vidor, TX; two sisters, Mitzie Arnaud, and husband Larry of Soileau, LA, and Tammy Young of Basile, LA; and three grandchildren, Trayvin Manuel, William Spears, and Tara Vander.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, William "Buddy" Manuel Sr.; and one sister, Rebecca Veillon.
