Kinder-William Doug Bertrand, 54 passed away peacefully at Kinder Retirement Center. Doug's family will hold a memorial service at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2 p.m.  Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate.   A private burial will be held at a future date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

William Douglas, affectionately known as Doug, was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, working in his yard and spending time with his family. Doug was a man of strong faith and attended Glad Tidings Church in Lake Charles when he was able. He worked hard on the pipelines in the early years of his life; he enjoyed his work very much. He loved to cook and bake. He enjoyed life and loved to laugh. Doug will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Doug's memory include his mother, Glenda Bertrand of Kinder; his sister, Melissa Richey and husband, Tommy of Scott, LA; his two nephews, Michael Bertrand and wife, Shannon, and Brandon Bertrand, all of Texas; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Doug is preceded in death by his father, C.L. Bertrand; and one brother, Louis Bertrand.
