Elton-Celebration of Life services honoring Willen Adam David, 80, will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, October 16, 2024, at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Fr. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Willen will be laid to rest at Ashford Cemetery in Duralde immediately following his services.
Willen's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, from 10 o'clock a.m. until time of service with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 1:30 p.m. All of Willen's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Willen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a faithful and devoted husband to his wife Brenda Eaves David for 47 years. Willen was a lifelong member of Church of Annunciation in Duralde where he attended Mass every chance he got. He was an avid outdoorsman, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, crawfishing, and gardening. Willen loved to give all his fresh vegetables away for anyone to enjoy. He was a hard worker and provided for his family as a lifelong farmer as well as driving a school bus for 10 years. Willen had a social spirit and enjoyed "men's suppers" with his friends. He was a simple man and loved to help others in need. Willen especially loved spending time with his family and he cherished every memory he made with them. He will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish Willen's memory include his wife, Brenda Eaves David; four daughters, Kathaleen "Kathy" Stelly and husband Dalton, Elizabeth "Liz" David Moore and husband Herbert "Moe", Sierra Robinson and husband Ro, and Hanna "Noot" Bertrand, four sons, Randall "Mark" David, Paul Adam "Pete" David, Anthony "Tony" Guillory and wife Jessica, and Edmond Guillory and wife Lola; thirteen grandchildren, Monica West, Sherman and Brook LeBleu, Sierra Robinson, Travis and Lane David, Trevor, Devin, and Ella "Monee" David, Christian Guillory, Ryan and Trey Guillory, and Chelsey Noblitt, nine great grandchildren, Nealon West Sr., Javilynn "Jay" LeBleu, Lainey and Logan Fruge, Brilynn "Bri" Joseph, Trevyn "Bubba" LeBleu, Haddie David, Courtlynn "Coco" Jenkins, and Rhyan "Rhy Rhy" Moore, two great-great grandchildren, Bishop LeBleu and Nealon West Jr.; one God child, Pam Bundick; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Willen is preceded in by his parents, Adam, and Rosa B. David; three brothers, Ronald, Ricky, and Robert "Red" David, and two sisters, Charlene "Susie" and Brenda G. David.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Trevor and Devin David, Trey, Ryan, and Christian Guillory, Sherman LeBleu, and Travis and Lane David. Honorary pallbearers serving are Trevyn "Bubba" LeBleu, and Logan Fruge.
