Elton-Funeral service for Wilfred "Wee" F. Chretien, 64, will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015. Rev. Marshall Boulet and Deacon Mike Guillory will officiate. Burial will follow in Chretien Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Wilfred, affectionately known as "Wee", was a loving brother. He had a "great sense of humor" and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Wilfred loved to fish, hunt, and cook. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Wilfred's memory include the mother of his children- Linda Chretien of Lake Charles; two sons-Wilfred Chretien, Jr. and Eric Chretien, both of Lake Charles; three brothers-Willis Chretien and Lennis Chretien, both of Lake Charles and William Chretien of Severville, TN; two sisters-Laura Jordan and Mary Allen, both of Westlake; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Wilfred is preceded in death by his parents-Herbert and Adella Chretien; and two sisters-Jean Morris and Bertha Chretien.
