Obituary
Kinder-Funeral Service will be held for Wilbert "Butch" Bertrand,
75, on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11am in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Kinder. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors beginning Friday, February
1, 2013 from 3-10pm at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder, with a vigil at 6pm. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8am until time of service.
Butch loved to fish and enjoyed working in his yard and
garden. He worked as a truckdriver and a mechanic. He was a devoted husband for 46 years. He was also a loving dad and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Rosella; one son Speedy LaPoint of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Lori LaPoint, Amanda Lampkin and husband Randal of Beaumont, TX, Deborah Miles and husband Andy of Lake Charles, Terry Bertrand and finance Nathan Ravia of Dry Creek; one sister, Dorothy Porter of Slidell; and five grandchildren, Angle, Matthew, Nicholas, Tori, and Noah.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Angelena and
Willie Bertrand.
