Wayne was a devoted husband to his wife, Maureen, for over 55 years. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked hard over the years to provide for his family. He was retired from Reeves High School after driving a school bus for 33 years. He also worked as a shuttle bus driver at Coushatta Casino for 15 years. Wayne was a very giving person with an avid love of bluegrass music and he "never met a stranger". He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish Wayne's memory include his loving wife, Maureen Parker Young; two sons, Billy Young and Renae and Jimmy Ray Young and Sissy; one daughter, Marlena Dougharty and Robby; eight grandchildren-Justin, Skylar, Quinton, Mattie, Jesse, Dalton, Jaime, and Michael; three great grandchildren-Jaylon, Tatum, and Aubrey; one brother, Daniel Young and Dorothy; and eight sisters, Lois Turner, Eunice Highsmith, Tollie Gillard and Bobby, Lorine Moses and Ochel, Virginia McBroom, Jerlene Dowers and Gene, Loretta Starkey, and Dianne Duggan.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, James and Nettie Young; two brothers, Al and Ezra young; and one sister, Alyne Jarry.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Heart of Hospice and Reeves Bible Church.
