Obituary

Oakdale-A celebration of life service for Ward Ray Jordan, 72, will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10 o'clock a.m., at Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Oakdale. Rev. Brian Johnson will officiate. Ward Ray will be peacefully laid to rest at Pecan Grove Cemetery immediately following his services.

Ward Ray's family will receive visitors on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral home of Oakdale, from 5-10 o'clock p.m. Visitation will resume at Mt. Hope Baptist Church on Saturday morning from 8 o'clock a.m until time of service. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.

Ward Ray was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, crazy uncle, baby brother and best friend. He never met a stranger, and he unconditionally loved his family "to the moon and back". Ward Ray was his wife's favorite fishing buddy and traveling partner. His favorite saying was "Joie de Vie" and he also always liked to say he was a "jack of all trades, but a master of none". Ward Ray was a faithful member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Oakdale and cherished his relationship with the Lord. He was a great friend to everyone who knew him and loved to live life to the fullest. Ward Ray will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Ward Ray's memory include his wife, Pauline Jordan; his beloved dog, Nala; two sons, Jason Jordan and wife Beth; and Dylan LeBeouf and wife Lori; two daughters, Christy Wilkerson and husband Carl; and Tiffany Hooper and husband Todd; one brother, Jessie Jordan and wife, Angelina; one sister, Della Douget; seventeen grandchildren, Tristan LaFauci and wife Courtney, Colby LaFauci and wife Ella, Gabrieal LaFauci and wife Kenley, Bryten Cooley, Jonah Cline, Jordan Wilkerson, Brylee Cooley, Hannah, Caleb, Levi, Isaac, Asher, Rachel, Luke, Noah, Sarah, and Gideon Jordan; ten great-grandchildren, Corey Duplechain Jr., Kemp Thigpen, Raliegh, Walker, Elenor, Ayden and Turk LaFauci, and Savannah, Elora, and Deacon Hooper; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve include Tristan, Colby, and Gabriel LaFauci, Jordan Wilkerson, Dylan LeBeouf, Chris Soileau, Winston Lambright and Bryten Cooley.

Honorary pallbearer honored to serve is Caleb Jordan.

Ward Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie "Peco" and Pearl Adams Jordan; two sisters, Julia Ann Hazelton and Loretta Wright and one brother, Camille Joseph "C.J." Jordan, and the mother of his children, Amanda Lambright Jordan.
