    Glenmora-Graveside services honoring Wanda L. Lambright Eaves Thompson,83, will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10 o’clock a.m. at Union Hill Cemetery. In accordance with her wishes, the graveside service will be held for immediate family only.

    Wanda’s family will have a private visitation at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 8-9:30 a.m. All of Wanda’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

    Wanda L. Lambright Eaves Thompson was born on August 24, 1942, to the late Rubin and Lovie Lambright, has peacefully entered into eternal rest, surrounded by the deep love of her family.

    A woman of unwavering faith, Ms. Wanda was known for her devotion to the Lord and the absolute beauty of her yard, which she tended with love and care. She was a dedicated worker who spent years serving her community, working at the Boise Southern’s Elizabeth paper mill in Elizabeth and Oakdale Apparel Manufacturing in Oakdale. Her strength, resilience, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

    Wanda’s legacy of love lives on through her surviving family. She leaves behind one son, Terry Eaves (Darlene) of Union Hill; and one daughter, Shawanda Hendry (Patrick) of Union Hill. Her love also shines bright in her 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren across Louisiana and Oklahoma, along with a host of extended family and dear friends.

    She has gone on to join those who preceded her in death: her beloved daughter, Jacqueline Eaves; her sons, Robbie, Toby, and Tony Eaves; and one great grandson Azziah Bosby; her siblings, Nelda Lambright, Carolyn Lambright West, and Russell Lambright, as well as her parents, Rubin and Lovie.

    In lieu of flowers, Wanda requested that donations be made in her honor to support her surviving children, Terry and Shawanda. 

    The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to her hospice care team for their compassionate support and guidance during her final journey.
