Wanda Rae Landry Menard was born on December 4, 1937, to the union of George and Alice Landry, and passed away on June 2, 2026. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her beloved husband Woodrow “Woody” P. Menard whom she married on November 18, 1958, and remained married to for 66 years until his passing in February of 2024. Wanda was a loving mother to her three children: Wendell, Denise, and Tim. During her life, she was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Elton, LA where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and assisted with finance counting. Wanda loved to read and would often visit the library in town. Her pet, Mama Kitty, found Wanda, and was a great part of her last years. She found enjoyment in traveling to visit her sons in various states across the United States, as well as traveling abroad to visit Wendell and his family in Norway. Professionally, she held various positions, including working as a warranty specialist for car dealerships. but her greatest joy was spending quality time with her grand and great grandchildren whom she adored dearly. Wanda was a loving and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Wanda’s memory include her two sons, Wendell Menard and wife Donna of Huntsville, TX., and Timothy Menard and wife Laurie of Elton, LA; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, George, and Alice Landry; her husband, Woodrow “Woody” P. Menard; and her daughter, Denise Menard.
Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Wanda’s family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook-Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
