Kinder-Funeral Mass for Mrs. Virginia Chachere Savoie, 84, will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Savoie of Kinder passed away May 13, 2006 at 11:34 a.m. in Kinder.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday with a vigil at 6 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. and at 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
Survivors include sons, Conrad Charles Savoie and wife Phyllis of Jennings, Glenn Dale Savoie and wife Kala of Moss Bluff, Richard "Ricky" Savoie and wife Pattie of Dayton, Tx.; daughters, Wanda Savoie Lejeune and husband Phil of Elton, Loretta Savoie LaFargue and husband Clifford David of Kinder; brother, Clyde Chachere, Jr. of Kinder; sisters, Rose Cunningham of Kinder, Claudia Marcantel of Crowley; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband Woodrow "Pedro" Savoie; parents, Clyde and Louise "Louie" Chachere and brother, James Chachere.
