Soileau-Funeral services for Ms. Virgie Fontenot Victorian, 75, will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10 am in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church of Oberlin. Fr. Felix Anyikwa will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Soileau.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church of Oberlin from 8 am until the time of service with a rosary being recited at 9 am.
Virgie worked for the Head Start Program for more than 23 years. She worked hard to provide for her family. Some of her favorite past times was cake decorating, cooking and baking. She was a life long member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Larry Victorian & wife Beverly of Oberlin; three daughters, Vanessa Victorian of Soileau, Summer Wilkinson & husband, William of Sunset, Ophelia "Tiny" Ceaser & husband, Alfred of Lake Charles; two brothers, Herbert Fontenot & wife, Viola of Kinder and Hubert Fontenot & wife, Hattie of Kilene, TX; four sisters, Martha Celestine & husband, Albert of Lake Charles, Virginia LeDet & husband, Vernon of Basile, Margaret Alley & husband, Ronald of Jamaica, NY, Augustine Mitchell & husband, Lionel of Eunice; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Virgie is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Rose Fontenot; husband, Andrew Victorian; and son, Terry Victorian.
