Obituary

Violet "Pug" Hebert Wilson Mouton, age 95, passed from this life on March 11, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Sherry Wilson Manuel in Adamsville, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2pm in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Robert Jones will officiate.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 17, 2012 beginning at 12 noon at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will continue until time of service.

Violet was born on May 23, 1916 in Grand Lake, Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Her family moved to Lake Charles a couple of years later when a hurricane destroyed their Sweet Lake home. She graduated from Lake Charles High School and later moved to Kinder. She worked for many years at Cappel's Rexall Drugstore. She resided on Little Mill Road in Kinder from 1946 until she moved to be with her daughter three years ago.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Wilson Manuel and husband, Terry of Adamsville, TN; one sister, Genevieve Hebert Dade of Georgetown, CA; one brother, Charles Hebert of Cameron, LA; and one grandson, Terry David Manuel and his family of Denton, TX.

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, John Aurelian Hebert and Matilda Smith Hebert, two brothers, Austin "Foots" Hebert and Wallace "Preacher" Hebert; three sisters, Winnie Hebert Moss, Bessie Hebert Mackey, and Hilda "Peanut" Hebert Bean; her first husband, Joseph "Joe" Wilson; her second husband, Lawrence Mouton; and one grandson, Bryan Scott Manuel.
