Obituary
Oberlin-Viola Stelly Meaux , 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:30am at St. Joan of Arc
Catholic Church of Oberlin. Father Felix Anyikwa will officiate. Burial will follow in Oberlin Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from
5-10pm at New Beginnings Assembly of God Church of Oberlin. Visitation
will continue at New Beginnings Assembly of God Church on Thursday,
April 26, 2012 from 8am until time of service.
Viola was a devoted wife of over 50 years and a loving mom and grandmother.
She was an excellent cook and baker. Viola's children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.
Viola is survived by her two sons, Russell Meaux and wife, "Cecile"
and Leroy Meaux and wife, Patsy, all of Oberlin; seven grandchildren, and fifteen
great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Graceland Stelly; her husband, Leroy Meaux, Sr.; her daughter, Mary Meaux; and two grandsons, Stuart Meaux and Michael Meaux.
