Oakdale-Funeral service for Vicky "Vic" Leroy Johnson, 71, will be held at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Saturday, May 27, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m.  Rev. Brian Johnson will officiate.   Burial will follow in Pine Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home, 311 Highway 1152, Oakdale on Saturday, May 28, 2023 from 9 a.m.  until time of service.

Vic, affectionately known as "PaPa", was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.  He was married to Pamela Baham Johnson for forty-eight years until her passing in 2019.  Vic cherished his home in the mountains of Arkansas where he was a hunter and nature lover, often with his two furry pals, Bella and Benji.  Vic was a friend to everyone he met-none more than Larry Deboard, the true friend with whom he spent most of the past thirty years.  Vic enjoyed music and movies.  He was a soloist in his church along with being in a gospel group for a short time. Vic loved the Lord and enjoyed hymnal music.  He will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by anyone who knew him.

Those left behind to cherish Vic's memory include his two sons, Vinson Johnson and wife, Kimberly of Longmont, Colorado and Jeane Johnson and wife, Shannon of Leesville; one daughter, Amanda "Mandy" Bartlett and husband, Dexter of Dry Creek; one brother, Greg Johnson and wife, Missy of Clarksville, TN; four grandsons, Kyle Johnson and wife, Brianna of Denver, CO, Levi Johnson and fiancée, Kelli and Garrett Johnson and wife, Alyissa,  all of DeRidder, and Jace Johnson of Elizabeth; one granddaughter, Lexis Sinclair and husband, Logan of Oakdale; four great grandsons, Landry, Sawyer, Titus and Lynn Johnson; two great granddaughters, Liv Presley Sinclair and Taullia Johnson as well as one more baby girl on the way, Nova Lee Johnson.

Vic is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Leroy and Wilda Johnson; his spouse, Pamela Baham Johnson; and his great grandson, Bryson Chase Johnson.
