Kinder-Funeral service for Verna Mae Guillory Ogea, 70, will be held Friday, November 7, 2014, at 11 o'clock a.m. in the Chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a vigil service. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Verna Mae was a resident of Kinder. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Verna Mae was also a retired Allen Parish school bus driver. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wallace Ogea of Kinder; three daughters, Linda Vincent of Welsh, Melinda Vincent of Jennings, and Wanda Gayle Vincent of Sulphur; three sisters, Charlene Paul, Martha Cooper, and Nora Chiasson; one brother, Murphy Guillory; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Verna Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Lovenia Guillory; one grandchild, Michael LeBlue; and one great grandchild, Keeligh Vincent.
