Verlan "Vee" Ardoin

Kinder – Funeral mass for Mr. Verlan Ray "Vee" Ardoin, 67, will be held Monday at 2 PM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Memorial Cemetery of Kinder under the direction of the Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

Visitation will begin in Ardoin Funeral Home Sunday from 3pm-9pm with a Vigil at 6 PM, followed by a Rosary. Visitation will continue Monday at 8a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Ardoin retired from the La. Dept. of Public Safety and served our country in the U. S. Navy in the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of the American Legion and an usher at the St. Philip Catholic Church.

Mr. Ardoin was a resident of Kinder. He passed away Friday January 4, 2008 in a local care center.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Evelyn Ardoin of Kinder; two sons Aaron Ardoin and wife Becky of Merryville; Andre' Ardoin and wife Meagan of Moss Bluff; two brothers Peter Ardoin and wife Jana of Maumelle, Ark.; Tony Ardoin and wife Tina of Lafayette; one sister, Ann Andrews and husband Donald of Waelder, TX. Four grandchildren; Brittany, Nicholas, Landon and Grace.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmae and Ednar Ardoin and one brother John Ardoin.
