Kinder- Funeral service for Ms. Vera Taylor Spears, 58, will be held Monday, December 31, 2007 at 10a.m. in Iowa United Pentecostal Church. Rev. E.M. Sonnier & Chaplain Willis Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5pm-10pm in the funeral home and will continue Monday at 8a.m. in the church until time of service.
Ms. Spears was a resident of Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Kinder. She was a Maximum security Supervisor at the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. Ms. Spears passed away Saturday, December 29, 2007 in her residence.
Survivors include two sons, Donovan Spears & wife Jamie of Kinder, Curtis Spears and Bonnie of Lake Charles; daughter, Valerie Ardoin & husband Michael of Kinder; brother, Donald Taylor of Oberlin; sister, Darlene Vidrine of Eunice; grandchildren, LayKean Denae` Spears, Hannah Lee Spears, Kassie Rae Spears, Tristan Nicole Meaux, Michael Bryan Meaux Jr., Robert Lee Barnes, Carolanne Nicole Taylor, Dylan James Coats, Hailey Danielle Coats; host of nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rodney & Elizabeth Taylor.
