Troy was a proud father of his two sons and loved to spend time with family and friends. He was a hard worker and worked diligently to provide for his family. He was a 1982 graduate of Kinder High School where he played football, earning First Team 6-AA All District Offensive Tight End along with a 1978 6-AA State Championship. He also lettered in tennis and basketball. After High school he would graduate from McNeese State University in 1991 with a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education. Soon after graduating McNeese State University, he furthered his academic career and graduated from Sowela with a degree in instrumentation/ process technology. Troy has worked in the plant industry for 32 years all at Louisiana Pigment as a Board Operator. He had a very strong drive to work and provide for his family all while making many true and long-lasting friendships along the way. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to be outside in a boat or a blind. Troy was an avid sports fan who loved LSU football and baseball, he especially loved coaching his son's baseball and football teams. He was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at "The Duck Camp". He loved to cut up and enjoyed making people laugh. Troy would speak of his sons to anyone who would listen, while beaming with pride. They truly were his complete world.  Troy will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew him. To know Troy was to be loved by Troy.

Those left to cherish Troy's memory include his two sons, Grant, and Jake Armand both of Lake Charles; Beloved friend and mother of their two sons, Lana Pearson; two brothers, Phillip Armand and wife Cheryl and Andy Armand, four sisters, Ann Canizaro and husband Joseph, Ramona LeBarbera and husband Nic, Rosanna LeFleur and husband Jay, and Rachelle Schexneider and husband Chris; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
