Kinder-Funeral service for Mr. Titus Bushnell, 91, will be held Thursday,
December 22, 2011 at 2 pm in First United Pentecostal Church of Kinder.
Rev. Carroll Bushnell, Rev. Terry Bushnell and Rev. Rod Nesmith will
officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 10am-
10pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and continue Thursday, December
22, 2011 from 10am until time of service at First United Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Titus loved his country. He served in the US Army during World
War II and received the Purple Heart award and eight other medals. He also
received two Bronze Stars for his honorable service. During his military service,
he was a true leader. He served as a Sharp-Shooter and was known as a
Marksman. He was also part of the Glider Brigade and served in the Battle of the
Bulge, Normandy, and many other battles. After military service he worked hard
to provide for his family. He was employed by Missouri Pacific Railroad in their
trucking division for over 44 years. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather,
and great grandfather. He was very active in church and he loved the Lord.
He is survived by his two sons, Tim Bushnell of Houston, Tx., Terry
Bushnell and wife Renee of Iota; two daughters, Janet Laughlin of Longview,
Tx., Kay Romero and husband Felix of Kinder; five brothers, R.V. ,"Buggie"
Burgess and Chester Bushnell and wife Omagean all of Indian Village, C.A.
Bushnell and wife Burnice of Reeves, and Carroll Bushnell and wife Linda
of Indian Village; and four sisters, Viola, Lorie, and Dean Miller and husband
Raymond of Indian Village, and Ollie Shuff and husband John of Iowa; and
nineteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great
grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Gordon Bushnell.
