Kinder- Timmy R. Burnett, age 70, of Reeves, LA and Huntsville, TX, passed away June 30, 2022, in his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Dry Creek Bible Church. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Dry Creek Bible Church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Tim Burnett, was born in July 1951 on Ramey Air Force Base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He attended Reeves public schools, Southeastern Bible College, and earned a Master's degree in Old Testament Theology and Biblical Languages from Grace Theological Seminary. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Marie Olmsted, for more than 50 years. Tim was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was actively involved with his church and loved sharing a teaching moment of God's word. He was a family man and enjoyed good stories and practical jokes. Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Tim's memory include his wife, Marie Olmsted Burnett, formerly of Lake Charles, LA, now Huntsville, TX; two children, Cary Burnett and Tiana Burnett Pion and their spouses; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and other adopted family members.
