Oakdale-Funeral service for Thomas Lemieux, Sr., 75, will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.  Rev. Brian Thompson will officiate.  A private burial will be held on Monday at Occupy #1 Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home, 311 Highway 1152, Oakdale on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 12 o'clock noon until time of service.

Thomas, affectionately known as Tom, was a loving husband and father.  He was married to his wife, Colleen, for over 54 years.  They had two children, Thomas, Jr. and Janet.  Tom had many interests and hobbies including coin collecting, fishing and spending time with his family.  He loved being with his grandchildren, especially his great granddaughter.  Tom proudly served our country as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked at Fort Polk for over 20 years in civil service.  He also loved telling stories to his children and grandchildren.  He would always say, "I probably already told you this, but…"  Tom had a great sense of humor and could be made to laugh easily.  He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Those left to cherish Tom's memory include his devoted wife, Colleen Lemieux; his son, Thomas Lemieux, Jr; his daughter, Janet Collins; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mildred Lemieux; three brothers, Francis, Ronnie, and Eugene Lemieux; and two sisters, Barbara Just and Marie Lemieux.
