Elton-Funeral service for Terry LaSage, 61, will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10am in St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton beginning on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from12 noon-10pm with a rosary being held at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 8am until time of service. Terry was a loving husband, dad, and granddad who worked hard to provide for his family over the years. He served his country in the United States Army. He saw combat during the Vietnam War, at which time he received several declaration medals of honor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodwork. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Gloria LeJeune LaSage of Elton; one son, Terry Joyce LaSage II and wife, Trudy of Crowley; two daughters, Yvette Lavergne of Carencro and Katina Lemaire of Elton; one brother, Gene Simon and wife, April of Evangeline; one sister, Julia Richard of Jennings; and seven grandchildren-Blake, Harley, Dakota, Blayze, Alexus, Brayden, and Brooklyn.
