Elton-Funeral Service for Tanya Marie Thomas, 47, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Golden Chain Baptist Church in Elton. Rev. Dwayne Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Golden Chain Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Tanya was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She attended Golden Chain Baptist Church, where she loved listening to the word of God, and studying her Bible. Tanya trained at job corp in Oklahoma City in security and was a licensed medication nurse. She loved being with her mother and eating her mother's cooking. She enjoyed watching "soap operas". Tanya graduated from Elton High school in 1990. While in school she was excellent in basketball and shot-put; winning many metals and trophies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Tanya's memory include her mother, JoAnn Thomas of Elton; two brothers, Dalton Thomas Jr., of Lake Charles and Gregory Thomas of Houston, TX; five aunts, Mary Jane "Maxie" Thomas, Febia Monroe, Georgia Thomas , Lovenia Thomas, and Eola Mae Holt (Babe); one uncle, Robert Thomas; and a host of sister-in-law's, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tanya is preceded in death by her father, Dalton Thomas; one uncle, Olen Thomas; and one nephew, Justin Stuart Thomas.
