Kinder-Funeral service for Susie Ellen Rainwater, 66, will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Susie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and Coushatta Casino. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susie was known as the "potato lady". She loved humming birds and her dog Tiny girl. Susie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Susie's memory include her two sons, Darrel and Benjamin Sellers, both of Kinder; two daughters, Sherrie and Elizabeth Sellers, both of Kinder; four brothers, Wayne Rainwater, of DeQuincy, Randy Rainwater and wife, Carrie, of Carlyss, Terry Dick, of Gonzales, and Jessie Rainwater, of DeQuincy; two sisters, Judy Jackson and Bobbye Simmons and husband, Lee, all of DeQuincy; fifteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Rainwater; one son, Michael Sellers; one daughter, Ruthie Sellers and one sister, Rachel Langton.
