Kinder-Funeral Services for Steven Savant, age 31, will be held on
Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 10AM in Indian Village Pentecostal Church.
Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Sunday,
January 9, 2011 from 4PM-8PM and will continue on Monday from 3PM-8PM. Visitation will then be held at Indian Village Pentecostal Church on Tuesday morning from 8AM until time of service.
Steven worked in the family business, Carlton Construction, since he was 15 years old. He especially enjoyed working with heavy equipment. He loved being outdoors-fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles and four wheelers were among his favorite past times. He loved to cook and entertain and
dearly loved his family and friends. Steven had a big heart and a gentle spirit. His family will greatly miss their "baby brother".
Steven is survived by his son, Tanner Carlton Savant of Kinder; his father, Carlton Savant and wife, Helen of Kinder; his paternal grandmother, Viola Savant of Kinder; one brother, Gary Savant of Kinder; three sisters, Liz Miller and husband, Tresmer of Buller, LA, Pam Savant of Kinder, and Janet Savant Portie of Lake Charles; his companion, Ann Baker and her children, Megan and Trent of Kinder; as well as his nieces and nephews, Kyle, Katelyn, Brittany, Kelsey, Troy James, Kaley, and Karson. He is preceded in death by his mom, Willidean Savant; his paternal grandfather, Louis Savant; and, his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Annie Belle Cooper.
