Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Steve Duplichan, 86, will be held Monday, August 10, 2009 at 10am in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in McGee Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3pm-10pm with a rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue Monday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Duplichan was a native and resident of Kinder. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired rice farmer that loved to work. He also enjoyed hunting. Mr. Duplichan passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family.
Survivors include his wife of 61 ½ years, Marie Duplichan; one son, Ronald Duplichan of Kinder; three grandchildren, Michael Duplichan, Natalie Duplichan, and Derek Duplichan all of Kinder; 7 great grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Hamm of Nashville, TN,; two sisters, Florence Saathoff of Hondo, TX & Doris Surba of Jasper, TX.
Steve was a devoted husband, father, & grandfather. All will miss him dearly.
