Elton-Stella Judy Pickett, age 70, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 27, 2015. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 31st at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Deacon Mike Guillory will officiate.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Stella was born on December 23, 1944. She was a loving wife of 42 years. She was also a devoted mother who adored her two children. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Marion J. Pickett of Elton; two children, Cheryl Landry and husband, Darren, of Katy, TX, and Aaron J. Pickett and wife, Meagan, of Elton; one sister, JoAnn Pickett and husband, Bart "Bobby", of Lake Charles; one brother, Edmand Rachal of Houma; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stella is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Inez Rachal; and her brother, Raymond Lee Rachal.
