Kinder- Funeral service for Mr. Stanford Valdetero, 86, will be held Friday, November 30, 2007 at 10a.m. in Kinder Church of Christ. Rev. Terrance BrownLow-Dindy will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home Thursday from 11am-8pm and will continue Friday at 8a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Valdetero was a resident of Kinder, member of Kinder Church of Christ, and was an Army First Sergeant in the Seventh Armored Division of WWII where he was a recipient of the triple bronze star and other prestigious medals. Mr. Valdetero was an active man that passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 27, 2007.
Survivors include two sons, David Louis Manuel & wife Estalena of Kinder, Neal Manuel & wife Teresa of Kinder; three daughters, Deborah Valdetero Dore & husband Bill of Crowley, Mary Manuel Henry & husband Robert of Sulphur, Ann Manuel Vidrine & husband John Wayne of Merryville; sister, Jeanette Mullens of Lafayette; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two sons, Michael Valdetero & Glenn Valdetero; wife, Elaine Valdetero; wife Jane Valdetero; parents, 3 brothers & 1 sister.
