Elton-Funeral service for Stafford "Koonie" Bazinet, age 71, will be held at 10am on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel of Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 1-10pm with a rosary being recited at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8am until time of service
"Koonie", as he was affectionately known, was a loving dad, grandfather and brother. He loved being with people and "joking around"-he had a great sense of humor. He made beautiful crosses by hand and he enjoyed giving them to his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters-Vanessa Garcia of Groves, TX and Pamela Tatum of Port Neches, TX; one son-Gerald Paul Bazinet of Groves, TX; two sisters-Lutha Mae Pitre of Hampshire, TX and Dweena Ann Manuel of Basile; five grandchildren-Ariel, Hunter, Sydney, Makenna, and Brooke; one great grandchild-Ava; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his "extended family"-the Perotti Family of Elton.
Koonie is preceded in death by his parents-Merza and Paul Bazinet, Jr; two brothers-Gerald Bazinet and Ralph Bazinet; and two sisters-Jane Bazinet and Rose Chapman.
