Funeral service for Shirley Ann Hughes Caskey, 82, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Palestine Baptist Church in Grant. Rev. Hardy Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

The family will receive visitors at Palestine Baptist Church Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Shirley lived a quiet life. She loved her cats. She enjoyed keeping house, shopping, and spending time with her family. She had a very keen sense of humor. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church for more than 20 years. She was a woman of strong faith. Shirley was a devoted wife to her husband, Melvin, for 50 years until his passing in January 2017. Shirley will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Shirley's memory include two sisters, Betty Lollar of Queen City, TX and Tricia Tetty of McCloud, TX. A host of nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Mamie Hughes; and one brother, Jack Hughes.
