Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Horace, for fifty-four years until his passing in July of 2010. Sister Shirley was a devout, faithful member of the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church for the past ten years where she was very active in the children's ministry. Shirley was strong and unwavering in her faith and very proud of her Pentecostal heritage. Her desire was to be a reflection of Jesus to all who came in contact with her. She enjoyed planting flowers, writing poetry, cooking, sewing and most of all, spending time with her family and friends, especially the "Coffee Girls" whom she spent many afternoon socials with. Shirley was a very kind, caring and giving woman. She treated everyone as if they were her own family. Shirley was an excellent mentor to many people, especially younger women who needed nurturing and encouragement. She loved her husband, family, and her church unconditionally. Sister Shirley will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Shirley's memory include her one son, Terry Baggett and wife, Linda, of Westlake; one daughter, Renee Baggett of Kinder; one grandson, Kevin Baggett of Westlake; one granddaughter, Melissa Cresswell of Moss Bluff; one great grandson, Sean Cresswell of Moss Bluff; one sister, Jean Bushnell and husband, Chester, of Kinder; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Baggett; and parents, Wesley and Clemmie Duhon.
