Mittie- Funeral service for Mr. Shelton John LaFleur, 78, will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2p.m. in Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Mittie. Rev. Ray Rainwater will officiate. Burial will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be Friday from 6pm-10pm and will continue at 8a.m. until time of service in the church.
Mr. LaFleur was a resident of Oberlin and one of the first Navy Frogmen. He died Friday, January 26, 2007 in Oberlin.
Survivors include three sons, Robert LaFleur of MO, Leon LaFleur of LaPorte, TX, Gary LaFleur of Metairie; five sisters, Agnes Lasyone of Pineville, Earlene Reed of Oakdale, Judy LaFleur of Stockton, CA, Lucy Duke of Mittie, Diane Bourgeois of Lake Charles; 3 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Avable & Pearl LaFleur; brother, Jesse LaFleur.
