Sharon Lee Fontenot was a remarkable woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nene, nana, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was known for her big personality and her unwavering support for her loved ones. She would light up any room she stepped into. She was a 1982 graduate of Oakdale High School. She was a loving and faithful wife to her husband Jerry Fontenot for 41 years. Sharon and Jerry had the ultimate love story. They loved each other unapologetically, and would always lift each other's energies, especially during hard times. Her family was her heart, and she was their rock. She was filled with the biggest amount of joy when her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, would come visit. They were her biggest blessings. She was the type of woman who would crack a joke at any time and make everyone smile ear to ear. She was the brightest, most compassionate, goofiest, and strongest person you could ever meet. She inspired us daily with her strength and compassion. We lost a pure soul that heaven gained. Our precious angel will forever and always be in our hearts.

Those left to cherish Sharon's memory include her husband, Jerry Fontenot; two sons, Cody James Fontenot and partner Hannah, and Christopher Adam Fontenot and wife Ashley; one daughter-in-law, Chantel Fontenot; one brother, Donald Harper Jr. and wife Sherry, one sister, Marilyn Welch and husband Billy; seven grandchildren, Ryleigh, Maverick, Harper, Banner, Austin, Asher, and Tenley, special nieces and nephews, Kaydence, Dylan, Kamryn, and Heather; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Donald, and Betty Harper; one son, Dustin Everette Fontenot; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Priscilla Harper, and maternal grandparents, Raymond, and Yulee Blocker.
