Obituary

Oakdale-Homegoing services honoring Sara Beth Sanderson, 40, will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. on Saturday afternoon, January 4, 2025, at First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale. Revs. Tim Kelley and Cody Bolton will officiate. Sara will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery in Calcasieu immediately following her services.

Sara's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Friday evening, January 3, 2025, from 4-8 o'clock p.m. Sara's visitation will resume at First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale on Saturday morning, January 4, 2025, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Sara's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Sara Beth Sanderson was born on Monday, September 17, 1984, to her parents, David Sanderson, and Susan Baillio, and was the third born of three children. Sara was "Baptized in Jesus name" on Thursday, September 7, 2023, under the leadership of Rev. Bro. Tim and Sis. Dana Kelley at First United Pentecostal Church of Oakdale. Sara graduated from high school in 2002, and was always the life of the party, she made everyone laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. Poppy and Sam were her world. Sara let everyone know that those dogs were her babies. Sara was a kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Sara's memory include her mother, Susan Baillio and husband Greg, her father, David Sanderson; four sisters, Scarlet Jarnagin and husband Scotty, Jessica Gordon and husband Kevin Sr., Ashley Baillio, and Courtney Lewis; three special nieces, Madeline Bolton, Allie Jarnagin, and Harper Lewis, four nephews, Dawson Lewis, Adam Chamberlain, Kevin Gordon Jr., and Elliot Farris; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Sara is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, David Cecil and Vestal Sanderson and her maternal grandparents, Nolen, and Bertha Simmons Benoit.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Scotty Jarnagin, Kevin Gordon Sr. and Kevin Gordon Jr., Adam Chamberlain, and Sean and Dawson Lewis.
