Oberlin-Funeral service for Sandra P. Shuff, 65, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Allen Parish Funeral Home-Oberlin Chapel.
Rev. Donald Duplechain and Rev. A.A. Haymon will co-officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors Monday, September 16, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 119 S. 7th St., Oberlin. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Sandra, affectionately known as "Nanny", was a resident of Elton. She was a devoted wife of 23 years as well as a loving mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She never met a stranger-she was a friend to all. She loved to sing gospel music, cooking, going to garage sales, eating fried chicken and spending time with family and friends. "Nanny" will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dicky" Shuff of Elton; one son, Christopher Carl Hebert of Oberlin; one daughter, Kamela Hebert Statum of Dequincy; three stepsons, Blaine Shuff of Chicago, IL, Joshua Shuff of Millbrook, AL, and Brandon Shuff of Prattville, AL; three stepdaughters, Nicole Arabie and Deanna Shuff, both of Leblue Settlement, and Brianna Shuff of Millbrook, AL; a special niece, Lori Ryder of Oberlin; two brothers, Richard "Dickie" Patrick and Wiley Patrick and wife, Polly, all of Oberlin; four sisters, Dorothy P. Case and Vivian P. Ryder, both of Oberlin, DeAndra Laymon and Darlene Landry, both of Lake Charles; one brother-in-law, Harley Shuff and wife, Connie of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren including Jordan, Dylan and Kelley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Hilda Patrick; and two sisters, Frankie Romero and Maxine Guillory.
