Elton-Samuel Royce Bolt, 35, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Elton, LA on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. In honor of his wishes, Samuel's family will host private memorial and a tree will be planted in his memory at a future date. Samuel's cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Sam was a dreamer, always thinking about what could be.  He was lucky enough to have seen much of our beautiful country when he was a cross-country truck driver. He loved college football, especially LSU and was always up to cheer and jeer the Saints on.

This dreamer was deeply loved by his family. We know he has gone on to a place that was beyond his wildest dreams.

After accepting his life was rapidly coming to an end, he faced it with grace, courage, strength, and a deep belief in God and Jesus Christ. He will forever be cherished and greatly missed by those that loved him.

Those left to cherish Samuel's memory include his children, Ezekiel James Bolt of Lake Charles, Eli Alexander Bolt, and Trinity Rose Bolt of Marksville; Sisters, Jessica Estillette of Arlington, TX, and Jessica and David Gomez of Bridge City, TX; his loving parents, Richard and Carolyn Lejeune Bolt of Elton; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Samuel is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nebert and Lenora Chaumont Lejeune Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Verian Shuff Ortego; and step grandfather, Sherman Ortego Sr.

Samuel's Family would like to extend a special thanks to Brighton Bridge Hospice in Oberlin. They did everything they could to make the unbearable as bearable as possible.
