Kinder-Funeral services for Sampson "Sammy" Pitre, 63, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow at Creel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Sammy was a loving husband to his wife, Lorena, for forty-one years, as well as a loving father, brother and grandfather. He cherished spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. Sammy enjoyed gardening, fishing and cruising through town. He was a lifelong resident of Reeves, a member of Indian Village United Pentecostal Church and was employed at Reeves High School for twenty-two years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Sammy's memory include his wife, Lorena, of Reeves; son, Eric Pitre and wife, Shannon, of Reeves; daughter, Megan Burnett and husband, Josh, of Reeves; two sisters, Georgia Holland of Indian Village and Faye Whetstine of Reeves; and five grandchildren, Hagen, Hannah and Korbin Pitre and Bowen and Raelynn Burnett.

Sammy is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lecian Pitre; and two sisters, Gerline LeBrun and Irma Elam.
