Kinder- Funeral service for Mrs. Sadie Savant, 84, will be Monday, May 25, 2009 10 AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Terry Bushnell, Rev. Robert Jones, and Rev. John Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2 to 9 PM and will continue on Monday from 7 AM till time of service.

Mrs. Savant was a resident of Kinder. She died on Friday in Sulpher. She was a hard worker. She was the manager of The Big "R", Mr. G's, and The Daisy Inn. She loved to help others. She loved her children and her Lord, and wanted others to know the Lord as she knew Him. Mrs. Savant was a member of the First Baptist church for many years, where she taught Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and sang in the choir. In recent years she was a member of The Community Bible Church. She also loved to pick blackberries to make blackberry dumplings. She enjoyed going to listen to Bluegrass music with her friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Pitre and her husband Charles of Ragley, and Jane Andrus and her husband Keith of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Skippy Savant and his wife Brenda of Kinder, and Kang Savant and his wife Carolyn of Kinder, 11 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Cally Savant, two brothers, Roy and Wesley Nesbitt; one sister, Alice Euten, and one great-great grandchild, Daegan Istre.
