Kinder- Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Vivian Armstrong, 80, will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Kay Hebert will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday in Ardoin Funeral Home from 11AM-9PM and will continue Wednesday at 8AM until time of service.
Mrs. Armstrong was a native of LeBlanc and a resident of Sulphur. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Mrs. Armstrong loved to help people through prayer and never met a stranger without a smile on her face. She passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her son, Jody Parker & wife Bonnie of Ragley; one daughter, Lynda Baker of Sulphur; one sister, Mollie Watson of Iowa; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Armstrong; her son, Robert L. Parker, and her grandson, Christopher Alan Dobbs.
Mrs. Armsrong will be carried to her final resting place by her grandchildren, Tara Baker, Bridgett Chambers, Steven Chambers, Shannon Dobbs, Jody Parker II, & Troy Parker.
