WASHINGTON, LA - Mr. Russell Humphries, age 71, went to his Eternal Home on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

Russell was a longtime resident of Kinder, however moved to Washington just a few short years ago. He worked for Diamond M Drilling for over 15 years. Stock Car racing and cooking was his passion. He also enjoyed LSU Sports along with pro football. Before his illness, you could find him on any given day either fishing or crabbing with his family. Russell loved supporting and spending time with his grandchildren, which he was very proud of. He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include; his wife, Carolyn Macip Humphries; a son, Corey Humphries; a daughter, Robin Humphries Janousek and husband, Perry; three brothers, Kenneth Humphries and wife, Livvie, Roger Humphries and wife, Laine, and Gene Humphries; three sisters, Gerty Babineaux and husband, Percy, Donna Hudson and husband, David and Helen Humphries; five grandchildren, Meaghan Janousek, Matthew Janousek, Jacob Janousek, Madison Macip, and Conner Reeves; other loved ones include; Marcus Macip and wife Jodi, Jean Humphries, Louis Linscott and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Daphne Humphries; two brothers, Vernon Humphries and Randolph Humphries; and a sister, Margaret Roberts.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, November 17, in Allen Parish Funeral Home in Oakdale led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakdale. Visitation will be held in Allen Parish Funeral Home in Oakdale on Thursday, November 16th from 4:00pm - 8:30pm and on Friday, November 17th from 9am until time of service.
