Elton-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ruby Mae Fuselier Bazinet, 72, will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Ruby was a devoted wife of 57 years. She was a loving mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She owned and operated Ruby's Daycare for 35 years. She worked hard to take care of her family. Ruby loved going to French dances and eating crawfish. She also loved working in her yard and caring for her flowers. She also enjoyed her pets. Spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys. She will be greatly missed. Her beautiful blue eyes and cheerful smile will be forever in the memory of all who loved her.
Those left to mourn her loss include her loving husband, Donald J. Bazinet, of Elton; two sons, Michael Bazinet and wife, Lelia, and Richard Bazinet, all of Elton; three daughters, Cheryl LaFleur of Eunice, Marlene Taylor and Donna Robinson and husband, Jeffrey, all of Elton; one brother, David Fuselier of Welsh; one sister, Leona Fuselier of Welsh; 12 grandchildren; and, 17 great grandchildren.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Odete Fuselier; and, one brother, Robert Fuselier.
