Roy Brown was born in Elizabeth, LA, where he remained a lifelong resident. He graduated from Elizabeth High School as a member of the 1962 State Champion baseball team. Roy loved bird hunting and sports; he was an avid fan of LSU, the Dodgers, and the Pelicans.
On June 15, 1962, Roy married Dianna Strother Brown, the love of his life, and they shared 62 wonderful years together. From this union, they had three sons, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He also had three daughters-in-law, whom he loved as his own. He dearly loved his three sons and was incredibly proud of the men they became. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among his greatest treasures.
Roy worked and retired from Boise after 40 years of devoted service. He had a true work ethic and loved helping wherever he was needed. He was deeply loved and known by many as "Paw."
Roy was a very loving and caring person who will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.
